American EV Jobs Alliance Announces EV Champion Award Recipient Brian Goldsmith

Alliance honors State Senate candidate for leadership on clean energy jobs, lower energy costs, and cleaner air for Californians

LOS ANGELES — The American EV Jobs Alliance has awarded Brian Goldsmith the EV Champion Award for his advocacy for clean energy jobs, electric vehicles, and policies that reduce pollution and lower energy costs for Californians.

“Brian has been a visionary for how to protect jobs, lower power bills, and make EVs accessible to Californians,” said Mike Murphy, CEO of the American EV Jobs Alliance. “We’re grateful for his past service on our board and the leadership he brought to developing the first-time EV buyer credit policy that now has a real chance of becoming law.”

Goldsmith previously served on the American EV Jobs Alliance board of directors.

“EVs mean never having to buy gas again, and Brian saw that long before the current crisis,” Murphy added. “That’s the kind of leadership we need, and why we’re proud to endorse Brian for the State Senate.”

Goldsmith is a candidate for California State Senate District 24. His platform includes funding for clean-vehicle support programs and a $ 3,500-per-year EV tax credit for first-time EV buyers in California.
