The White House Praised This Plant Three Weeks Ago

Three weeks ago the White House credited Ford’s battery plant in Marshall, Michigan with $3 billion in investment and 1,700 new American jobs. This week the Transportation Department told Ford’s CEO the company is not a reliable partner.

Same plant. Same workers. Same administration.

Ford owns the plant, runs the operation, and employs every worker in it. Somebody in Washington should decide which of these is the policy, because companies deciding where to build the next one are watching.
